Oh, this was excellent. You've really captured the world and the characters here and I'm so glad you wrote and posted this. J.D.'s voice is clear and perfect, and I love the life you've given to his thoughts and motivations.

Also, to echo what someone else said, I'm amazed that such a detailed and well-planned fic could be written in such a short time. I'm envious of your speed! ^_^

(...And someday if I ever do finish my alternate version of events, I'm going to have to preface it with "And xantissa read my mind....", because there are some elements here that are very similar to what I had planned--which just goes to show how flawlessly you've captured the flavor of the original piece.)
